Earthforce- S/T-The newest release by the reformed SHROOMANGEL PRODUCTIONS record label. Earthforce were an offshoot of Ebling Mis and OA Band formed by Steve Bayfield. Hailing from the UK, the band was influenced by a wide variety of music including English folk and acid rock. This release is culled from sessions that have never been released before, and they sound like a cross between Popul Vuh and Gong. Very tasty, very spacey and mystical vibe throughout. Liner notes and photos galore, a very nice package.

Roy Vogt- Simplicity-The former Aurora bassist comes back strong with a brilliant solo CD. Excellent compositions and superb playing highlight this release that features guest spots by Victor Wooten and Stan Lassiter.

Arabesque- Tales of Power-The last official Shroom Productions CD release and it's an instant classic. Like Hands, this band managed to exist in America playing progressive rock, totally original music, and go completely unnoticed during their career. Since they started 30 years ago we thought that maybe now would be a good time to release the band's lost recordings, many of you agree! Complex, dynamic, well constructed and expertly performed music in an early Genesis meets Camel sort of style but definetly quite original.

Carnegie- Rock And Roll Symphony-Classically trained identical twins play back-to-back grand pianos augmented by Mini-Moog, Mellotron, and the traditional rhythm section of guitar, bass and drums. Inspired by their musical counterparts of the time, ELP, Queen, Renaissance and Genesis. For anyone into American progressive rock of the mid to late 70's, this represents an especially intriguing blending of symphonic progressive rock, 70's style prog and classical music. Wonderful stuff!

Hands- Twenty Five Winters -The long awaited reunion CD, after 22 years the band has created new music for the world to enjoy again. There is, as there was early in their career, a smart blending of styles and sounds, such as that you might hear a little of this and a little of that but won't be able to pigeonhole this band. As far as reunion albums go, I am mostly too skeptical, but when I heard this for the first time I reacted a differently than expected. I hold this music up there with anything happening right now in the progressive rock scene, although one has to keep in mind that I am not comparing this to anything else. Get this and judge for yourself, and then tell me you agree that Hands are still contenders and are still a viable unit that can make wonderful progressive music that is relevant and exciting.

Hands- S/T- US progressive rock masterpiece. Recorded in 1977, these tracks created a buzz in the prog world, unveiling a true US legend of progressive rock. This is the 3rd pressing and the artwork has been changed as well as the addition of an alternate bonus track. We think this new version will be most welcome and a more than suitable replacement to the original version.

Hands- The Early Years 1974-76 -This Hands CD is actually the oldest, material wise. These tracks pre-date Prism and were recorded while the band was still known as Ibis. There are a few live Prism tracks here also, but it is mostly Ibis. This is a Shroom Limited Edition CD-R and is individually numbered. Only 400 copies will ever be available! Note: Just because this is a CD-R doesn't mean it's cheap, these are well made, all-silver and almost indistinguishable from the real ones. They are guaranteed to meet your quality expectations.

New Blizzard Symphony- A Christmas Heirloom-Tired of the same old lame-ass holiday records you're forced to listen to every Christmas? Turn the family on to something a little more adventurous with the newest Shroom CD. While the music may be strictly of the holiday variety, the playing cannot be so easily classified. Influences range from classical to rock, jazz, folk, ballads, prog and symphonic rock. There's something to enjoy on every track and let's face it, we need something to lift us up a bit this Christmas and we want a bit more than what the Chipmunks can deliver (sorry Alvin!).

Honest John- The Demos 1974/75 -This Shroom Limited Edition CD-R is available now and contains some very damaging heavy hard rock by a completely unknown band from the mid 1970's. We plan on issuing this again sometime in 2003 so this LTD Edition is merely a taste for those who don't want to wait any longer. There will, however, be a significant discount applied to the offical version for anyone who picks this up now.

Heyoka- The Lost Heyoka Recordings -A Limited Edition offering, this time by a totally unknown prog band with a long history in Texas. Beginning in 1970 and ending in 1984, this band gained a reputation for incredible live shows but left us with no official album releases. This is our attempt to rectify that as best as can be done at this time. The music is dynamic and complex progressive hard rock with influences from Jethro Tull and Kansas in evidence.

False Prophet- Moonchild -A Limited Edition offering, again this band hails from Texas and features a pretty wild assortment of wailing guitars and melodic but hard driving acid rock. Heavily influenced by Mahogany Rush, Cream, Rush and Bloodrock just to name a few.

Blown Free- Maximum Rock and Roll -The newest Shroom Limited Edition CD-R is available now and it's pure, unadulterated Texas brand rock and roll. Heavy, riff laden songs with dual guitars all over the place. This band was always very underground, even in their heyday back in 1978. A killer! As above, this is professionally made. Please support underground 70's rock and buy this, I mean, if you like bands like Bang, Grand Funk Railroad, Hairy Chapter than you'll like this.

Intra- S/T -This band really surprised us when we first heard it. We couldn't exactly find a fitting comparison, it's pretty unique. Complex, unpredictable, quirky and definitely progressive. Reminds me of Relayer period Yes without the keyboards or maybe even Finch. Recorded in 1976 with bonus tracks from 1980-93.
